In der östlichen Altstadt in Rostock installierte ich in und neben dem Kanal in der Grubenstraße eine Installation aus Keramikstangen auf verschiedenen Ebenen. Diese bloß gestapelte und nicht befestigte Installation im Wasser und an Land, eröffnete je nach Blickwinkel eine andere Form. Ganz erschließen ließ sich die Installation im Gesamten allerdings erst durch einen Blick vom ersten Stock des Ausstellungsgebäudes hinunter auf den Kanal.

Wagte man diesen Blick, so stellte man fest, dass die Installation die Form eines großen Dreieckes besaß. Die Spitze dieses Dreieckes zeigte vom Standort der Installation aus nach Kiel.

 

//  I installed an installation made of my ceramic sticks in and next to a canal in the eastern part of the historic city in Rostock. This installation contained two levels: One part of the installation was set up on the pavement next to the canal and the other I placed directly into the water. Every perspective on the work showed a different form. You could only discover the entire installation by looking out of a window on the first floor of the exhibition building.

I one took that look, one discovered that the installation was formed like a giant triangle. The tip of this triangle pointed directly to Kiel.
