Nachdem ich erfolgreich die stabilste Pappmaché Zusammensetzung ermittelt hatte, folgte nun der nächste Schritt in Richtung meines Vorhabens, eine möglichst große, von mir besteigbar/begehbare Installation aus Pappmaché zu bauen. Aus der ermittelt stabilsten Materialzusammensetzung, hergestellt mit der ermittelt effizientesten und solidesten Herstellungsweise, fertigte ich nun Module für ein Stecksystem. Zusammengesteckt ergaben die Module drei jeweils 1 Meter hohe Leitern. Um nun zu testen, ob diese Module ihren Zweck erfüllen und mein Körpergewicht tragen würden, teste ich diese anschließend in einer Videoperformance. In der Performance bestieg ich nacheinander jede der drei Leitern. Das Resultat war, dass alle drei Leitern mich nicht tragen konnten und die Stufen unter dem Druck meines Körpergewichts zerbrachen.
// After I had successfully determined the most stable papier-mâché composition, the next step of my plan was to build the largest possible installation made of papier-mâché that I could climb / sit on. From the most stable material composition determined, produced with the most efficient and solid manufacturing method, I now manufactured modules for a plug-in system. When put together, the modules resulted in three ladders, each 1 meter high. In order to test whether these modules fulfill their purpose and would support my body weight, I then tested them in a video performance. In the performances, I climbed each of the three ladders one after the other. The result was that all three ladders could not carry me and the steps broke under the pressure of my body weight.
