Nach zweieinhalb jähriger Materialforschung an dem Material Pappmaché (weitere Informationen zur künstlerischen Forschung), auf der Suche nach einer Materialzusammensetzung und einer geeigneten Bauweise präsentierte ich im Zuge der Eröffnung meine Masterausstellung das aktuellste Materialtestobjekt – auf dem Weg zu einer stabilen, besteigbaren Installation rein aus Pappmaché. In einer Performance – das erste Mal vor Publikum – unterzog ich das Objekt einem Belastungstest. Anhand der Erkenntnisse aus diesem Test wird sich die künstlerische Materialforschung an Pappmaché in Zukunft verändern.

 

//    After two and a half years of material research on the material papier-mâché (further information on artistic research), in search of a material composition and a suitable construction method, I presented the latest test object during the opening of my master’s exhibition – on the way to a stable, climbable installation made entirely of papier-mâché . In a performance – for the first time in front of an audience – I subjected the object to a stress test. Based on the result of this test, my artistic material research on papier-mâché will change in the future.
