Die Installation „Hochsitz (Aufbau)“ besteht aus einer zwei Meter hohen Leiter, welche aus einzelnen Pappmaché-Modulen zusammen-gesteckt ist, einer Palette, auf welcher elf von zwölf Pappkartons gestapelt liegen und einem geöffneten Karton, welcher neben einer Aufbauanleitung auf dem Boden daneben liegt.
Auf den Kartons sieht man die Abbildung einer architektonischen Struktur. Die aufgebaute Leiter ist als Teil dieser Struktur erkennbar. Sowohl die Nummerierung der Kartons als auch die ausliegende Aufbauanleitung legt nahe, dass sich in den Kartons der Rest des abgebildeten Gebildes noch in nicht zusammengebauten Einzelteilen in den Kartons befindet.
Das Gebilde – der „Hochsitz“ – ist das angestrebte Ende meiner künstlerischen Materialrecherchen zum Material Pappmaché. Seit zwei Jahren entwickele ich eine Bauweise, mit welcher man aus Pappmaché Module bauen kann, welche die Stabilität besitzen, mein Körpergewicht tragen zu können. Hierbei erforschte ich die geeignetste Zusammensetzung der Pappmaché-Mischung, die Produktion der Module und die beste Bauweise einer möglichst überkörpergroßen Installation.

An architectural structure can be seen on the cardboard. The constructed ladder is part of this structure. Both, the numbering of the boxes and the assembly instructions that are available, suggest that the rest of the depicted structure is still in unassembled as individual parts in the boxes.
The structure – the “high seat” – is the intended end of my artistic research of the material papier-mâché. For two years, I have been developing a construction method that I can use to build modules out of papier-mâché that have the stability to carry my body weight. In doing so, I researched the most suitable composition of the papier-mâché mixture, the production of the modules and the best construction method for an installation that is as oversized as possible.
