Ist es möglich, aus Pappmaché-Elementen eine begehbare  Installation zu bauen, welche über meine eigene Körpergröße hinaus geht?
Um dieser Frage nachzugehen, verwendete ich die Pappmaché-Zusammensetzung, welche sich in meinen vorherigen Materialtests als am stabilsten erwiesen hatte. Aus dieser Zusammensetzung fertigte ich zwei Serien von Testobjekten, welche ich auf ihre Stabilität und die geeignete Bauweise untersuchte.
Die Arbeit „String Figures“ zeigt eine Zusammenfassung dieser Materialuntersuchung anhand meiner Testobjekte. Zu sehen sind meine handschriftlichen Aufzeichnungen, die Beobachtungen und Ergebnisse festhalten, Dokumentationsfotos, welche ich während der Produktions- und der Testungsprozesse gemacht habe, sowie einen roten Faden, welcher die sechsmonatige Zeitlinie dieses Projekts aufzeigt.
Um meine Arbeitsprozesse sichtbar und nachvollziehbar zu machen, stand die Arbeit an einem gut frequentierten Gehweg auf einer Grünfläche, sodass Passant*innen innehalten und sich mit dem Inhalt auseinandersetzen konnten. Für weitere Informationen zu den Objekttestungen gelangte man über einen QR-Code zu einem Video, welches die Video-Performances der Testungen zeigte.

To investigate this question, I used the papier-mâché composition, which had been found to be the most stable in my previous material tests. From this composition, I made two series of test objects, which I examined for their stability and the appropriate construction.
The work „String Figures“ shows a summary of this material investigation based on my test objects. You can see my handwritten notes that record observations and results, documentation photos that I took during the production and testing processes, as well as a red thread that shows the six-month timeline of this project.
In order to make my work processes visible and comprehensible, the work was placed on a well-frequented sidewalk on a green area so that passers-by could pause and examine with the content. For more information about the object tests, a QR code could be scanned to access a video that showed the video performances of the tests.
